The Demo Model for SAP NetWeaver was developed to help you get started with SAP NetWeaver by exposing its details and showing you its capabilities. The Demo Model provides packaged demo content that exists in your system so you can experience various SAP NetWeaver areas and technologies.

Getting Started

Almost everybody knows the Flight Model - the foundation of many SAP courses and trainings. The Flight Model is still used to describe the ABAP programming language, but we need more than that to describe all aspects of SAP NetWeaver!

The SAP NetWeaver Demo Model is now available!

The Demo Model, inspired by and extending beyond the Flight Model, is based on the demo company "ITelO." The demo content and demo story/business context based on this company covers all major areas of SAP NetWeaver with the option to dive into details.

For more information about the use of the Demo Model, please have a look at the following recordings:

ITelO – The Demo Company

The SAP NetWeaver Demo Model CompanyITelO manufactures high-tech products such as laptops and printers. It has subsidiaries in several countries and covers the entire value chain from Research and Development to Production, Sales and Marketing, and Financial Services. It is a global player that sells its products through direct and indirect distribution channels.

SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management

The Demo Model also comprises content in the area of Master Data Management (MDM). Here we provide two MDM repositories that are related to Business Objects (BO) in SAP ERP, SAP CRM, and SAP SRM. That means, for example, that an SAP ERP Customer BO is reflected in the MDM Business Partner repository.

The MDM Business Partner Repository consists of 21,000 records that are partly ITelO related. Each record is made up of the following attribute groups: Personal Data, Address Data, and Communication Data.

The MDM Product Repository  consists of 100 records which are ITelO related. Each record is made up of the following attributes: Product Name, Product Group, Manufacturer, and more.
