Absolutely Must - Post Installation Changes
Set database to automatic startup
The installation procedure of the preview does not change the needed database services into Autostart services, although it starts them. The result is that your database and according to this the whole server nicely starts. Unfortunately after you have rebooted your computer (usually the next day), this will not be the case anymore and it is hard for non SAP specialists to find out about this.
A document describing this in detail is in the works.
Visual Composer
Relating to External Services
To make Visual Composer work together with external services it needs to be configurated to do so. As the most used system for this is the ESWorkplace that is provided by SDN, we have a description about this configuration. Using it you may connect your VC to external services and use them in there.
Detailed document available soon.
Database
SAP MaxDB Database Studio (for Windows)
(Version 7.7.04.26, approx. 84.9 MB)
Unlike the existing releases of NetWeaver Application Server Java, the Management Console does not show a database monitor in it's current version. To replace this functionality you can download and install the MaxDB Database Studio, which is another eclipse based application.
