DB2 Connect 9.7 FP1 Special Build released New!
IBM Data Server Driver for CLI, ODBC, JDBC, SQLJ 9.7 Fix Pack 1 Special Build is now available for download. The Special Build does affect the JDBC/SQLJ Driver only (db2jcc version 3.58.91, db2jcc4 version 4.8.96). An SMP user login is required to download the Fix Pack. Using Database Performance Warehouse to Monitor IBM DB2 for z/OS – General Overview (Part 1)
In the Database Performance Warehouse, all relevant data concerning database space consumption that is collected by the DBA Cockpit is stored in an SAP Business Intelligence (BI) system. This SAP BI system is used by the SAP Solution Manager Diagnostics (SMD) back end of an SAP Solution Manager system. All collected data has a time dimension, so the database space consumption can be analyzed for any point in time or over a specified time frame.

Virtualization kernel change affecting partitioning
DB2 customers who are using virtual hostnames (SAPLOCALHOST) and have partitioned the RFC tables according to column ARFCIPID are affected by the virtualization SAP kernel change described in SAP Note 1357442. For more information, refer to SAP Note 1406689.
