SAP on DB2 for z/OS
DB2 10 for z/OS has been successfully certified to support SAP systems New!
After a formal verification process of functionality and quality of the new DB2 database release with regard to SAP environments and its products nearly all SAP solutions are now supported on DB2 10 for z/OS. For details see note 1452370. It is planned to certify remaining products and tasks until the end of January 2012.

Using Database Performance Warehouse to Monitor IBM DB2 for z/OS - Customizing Reports (Part 3) New!
In the Database Performance Warehouse, all relevant data concerning database space consumption that is collected by the DBA Cockpit is stored in an SAP Business Intelligence (BI) system. This SAP BI system is used by the SAP Solution Manager Diagnostics (SMD) back end of an SAP Solution Manager system. SAP provides content for the DBA Cockpit to analyze the different technical areas related to space consumption of a DB2 system. See this article for more details.

Rapid SAP NetWeaver BW ad-hoc Reporting Supported by IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS
IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS V2.1 powered by Netezza technology (IDAA) just has been released. This paper describes how the IDAA can be integrated into SAP NetWeaver BW. Furthermore, it shows that SAP BW ad-hoc reporting experiences a drastic decrease in elapsed time when supported by IDAA.

DB2 Connect 9.7 FP3a Special Build 27297
Due to errors in failover handling of the CLI driver (APAR IC77221) and connect handling of the JDBC driver (APAR IC77293, side-effect of APAR PK69339) DB2 Connect 9.7 FP3a has been replaced on Service Marketplace with DB2 Connect 9.7 FP3a Special Build 27297 . If you run DB2 Connect 9.7 FP3a you should replace it with special build 27297.
