Here are some answers to some of our most frequently aksed questions.

What is Virtual SAP TechEd?

 

Virtual SAP TechEd is a collections of eClasses recorded at live SAP TechEd America sessions.  Each eClass includes a recording of the presenter, navigable table of contents, slides, demo (when performed) and a downloadable version of presentation.  Our library contains eClasses from SAP TechEd 2006 and onward.

What comes with my SDN Content Subscription?

 

Each recorded session (eClass) of your SDN Content Subscription includes a streaming video replay of the session's presenter with synchronized PowerPoint slides, audio, streaming video and demos when available. Also included are downloadable PDF files of the presentation slides.

Can I try a VSTE eClass before buying?

 

Yes. If you haven't yet subscribed to a VSTE package, you can watch 5 min previews of any VSTE 08 eClass.

How do I buy a VSTE subscription?

 

Buying your Virtual SAP TechEd subscription is quick and easy via the SAP Shop.  Be sure to have your credit card ready along with your free SAP Community Network ID.

What is the difference between the complete package and other subscription?

 

The Virtual TechEd Complete Package includes all of the sessions recorded from the TechEd conferences. Additional subscriptions, such as the Business Process Expert Highlights subscription, include a select set of sessions grouped by topic or subject matter. Specialty subscriptions are a subset of the Virtual TechEd Complete Package.

Can I download the eClasses and watch them offline?

 

Yes. Starting in February 2009, VSTE 2008 eClasses will be available for download.  An additional subscription might be required.  Find out more on the Virtual SAP TechEd 2008 homepage or the Offline Access FAQ.

Can I upgrade from a specialty subscription to the complete package?

 

No, there are no upgrade offerings from Specialty Subscriptions to Complete Packages. Please review the content of every specialty subscription (and the complete package) carefully before you make your purchase.

Why is the price for my SDN Content Subscription shown in Euros not my local currency on the SAP Knowledge Shop?

 

The SAP Knowledge Shop only sells SDN Content Subscriptions in Euros. For your convenience, the SDN Content Subscription pages provide you with an estimated price for your subscription in your local currency. Your actual cost may vary depending upon currency conversion rates used by your credit card company.

Why are the prices shown on the SDN Content Subscriptions page and the prices shown on the SAP Knowledge Shop different for my SDN Content Subscription?

 

The local currency prices shown on both the SDN Content Subscriptions page and the SAP Knowledge Shop pages are estimated prices provided for your convenience. The SAP Knowledge Shop only sells SDN Content Subscriptions in Euros. Your actual cost may vary depending upon currency conversion rates used by your credit card company.

Why can I only purchase in Euros?

 

As an international store, the SAP Knowledge Shop only accepts purchases in its local currency - Euros. Your credit card company will perform the currency conversion to your local currency for you. For this reason, your actual cost may vary depending upon the currency conversion rates used by your credit card company.

Why is my actual cost of the subscription different from the cost shown on the SDN Content Subscriptions page?

 

The price of the packages are based in Euros. Prices shown in other currencies are subject to the latest foreign exchange rates and are updated in the SAP Knowledge Shop accordingly.

How quickly will my SDN Content Subscription access be activated after purchase?

 

Your SDN Content Subscription will be activated and available for access on the SDN Subscriptions site from 1 to 2 business days after purchase.

Can I search the VSTE eClasses?

 

Yes.  In the advanced search (top right of page), select Virtual SAP TechEd and enter the search characteristics of your query.

How do I use the Virtual SAP TechEd Session Catalog?

 

Here's how to navigate the Virtual SAP TechEd Session Catalog:

Click the "play" button to view the session online.

Click the PDF icon to download the presentation.

Click the download button (when applicable) to download the session for offline viewing.
