The marketing staff must respond to a high volume of customer quotations with a minimum turnaround time. As part of responding to the quotation request they needed a tool to get history of past quotations for a customer and similar products purchased.

A new widget was designed to display past quotes and the user would enter customer name and part number. The complete name and part number are not required to be entered and only a starting part can be entered. The widget also provides a link to the original document. The Customer Material Quotes table shows the quote number, part number, customer number, name of the end customer, creation date, approved price, resale price in case the customer is a distributor and the link to the quote.
