Who is Who Widget |
Overview The aim of the who is who widget is to provide a quick lookup service for employee to access contact information. It intended for use by anyone in the company as a contact lookup. This is still a prototype version, the release version would have an organizational structure view and most likely a link to dial via our VOIP softphone system. Also the password won’t be stored as clear text. Source Code 1. Widget deployment file zcap.prt.widget.whoswho.par (EP6) whoswho.widget.zip (Yahoo! widgets) 2. Brief description This widget is not based on the SAP widget foundation as it started before it was released. The widget uses a portal app and the xstream library to communicate with R/3. There is a benefit that there is no java6 install as this would have to be performed on all the users machines. The widget logs into the portal in the background (it asks for the password) via XMLHTTPRequest and then uses the MYSAPSSO2 cookie to call portal URLs for communication and then should then stay logged in all day. Requirements: * Yahoo! widgets 4.0 * EP6 with SSO configured. Directions: 1. Unpack whoswho.widget.zip and run Main.kon 2. Unpack zcap.prt.widget.whoswho.zip and deploy zcap.prt.widget.whoswho.par to the EP6 host. 3. For widget settings just use a username and password and the hostname:port of the J2EE Host with EP6 on it. |
