Xcelsius 2008 Component SDK SP1

The Xcelsius 2008 Component SDK SP1 is available for download below. It is a complete installer; you do not need version 1 of the SDK to use SP1. Also, it is recommended for use with Xcelsius 2008 SP1 as it provides more features.

What's new in the Component SDK SP1:

• Support for creating Add-on Connections (that go in the Data Manager) Including new samples for RSS connectors
• Support for creating Add-on Excel Functions (to support more Excel functions in Xcelsius 2008) Including a new Excel function sample
• Command-line version for the Add-on Manager
• Updated documentation

Xcelsius gives users the capability to easily visualize complex data modeled in Excel. The Xcelsius Component SDK is the result of demands for new and custom visual and non-visual components to be added to Xcelsius. Xcelsius SDK enables Flex developers to add new components in Xcelsius. Flex developers can convert any Flex widget or component and add it to the Xcelsius designer.  This new technology will introduce exciting new aspects to visualization and data connectivity.

To enable developers to freely develop components for Xcelsius 2008 we are providing a free 60day development keycode for Xcelsius 2008.

Please download the appropriate SDK for the version of your software installation.

* Note: SP1 is a complete install; you do not need version 1 of the SDK to use SP1.
 

Third party developers can submit their Xcelsius SDK-based add-ons (add-on) to SAP for integration certification. Among other things, the SAP certification test will test/check:

• Add-on Installation and Un-installation
• Add-on Component Initialization
• Add-on Naming
• Add-on Workflow
• Custom Excel Functions
• Custom Connections
