SAP Visual Intelligence: Apply filters to datasets and visualizations

SAP Visual Intelligence: Apply filters to datasets and visualizations

Filtering limits the amount of data to be processed by focusing on specific values or ranges of values to facilitate analysis and discovery. Filters applied on a dataset may also be applied to the visualizations based on the same dataset.
In this tutorial, you will filter a dataset, and then apply the same filters to a visualization.

Dashboards 4.0 FP3: Configure a jump destination

Dashboards 4.0 FP3: Configure a jump destination

SAP BEx queries can be configured to act as Report-to-Report Interface (RRI) senders, which means they contain additional queries that pass parameters to other destinations such as URLs or SAP systems. If you connect a dashboard to one of these BEx queries and display the data using the Hierarchical Table component, you can enable these jump destinations for the component. This allows users to move directly from gaining insight into the data using the dashboard to acting on those insights.
In this tutorial, you will configure a hierarchical table to act as an RRI Sender.

Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 FP3: Work with scaled values in BEx queries

BEx queries sometimes include measures with scaled numerical values. In Crystal Reports for enterprise you can work with scaled measures and use the scaling factor attribute to determine the scaling value and calculate unscaled values as required.
In this tutorial, you will create a query using a scaled measure, and then create a formula using the scaling factor attribute to calculate the unscaled value.

Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 FP3: Concept - Compare Crystal Reports 2011 and Crystal Reports for enterprise 4.0 FP3

Crystal Reports 2011 and Crystal Reports for enterprise are both available as part of SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence suite 4.0 feature pack 3. Crystal Reports 2011 is a natural evolution from Crystal Reports 2008, whereas Crystal Reports for enterprise has been redesigned from the ground up with a focus on streamlining the report design process.
This tutorial identifies differences in the toolbars and menus between these two versions of Crystal Reports, to assist those familiar with prior Crystal Reports releases in understanding and working with Crystal Reports for enterprise. This tutorial does not address all differences between the two applications.
