What are the SAP BusinessObjects Beta Programs
- Full Beta - A Full Beta program provides full support from Customer Assurance, possibility of having an onsite presence for a limited time, sharing of workflows, weekly conference calls with the beta team to ensure that your feedback is understood and updates on the status are given. Customers are nominated and selected for this program and a higher commitment is provided by SAP BusinessObjects. Emphasis is put on gathering product and market feedback to increase the quality of releases.
- Medium Beta - A Medium Beta program is the most typical program as the commitment from both our customer/partners and SAP BusinessObjects is at the midway point of all beta programs. Emphasis is put on gathering product and market feedback to increase the quality of releases.
- Public Beta - A Public Beta program is open to any customer and is used as an evaluation product, to showcase our products and encourage feedback. There is no support provided for this program and is open for a limited amount of time.

What are the requirements to be a Beta Customer
To be a beta customer, we'll ask you to meet a list of criteria that closely matches the project scope.
What are the benefits of being a Beta Customer
We hope that your experience with testing the product early will help you develop a strategy for migrating to the new product when it releases.
How do I become a Beta Customer
In most cases you'll be nominated by your sales representative. Once you have accepted the Pre-Release Software Evaluation Agreement terms and completed a short survey, a short approval process will begin and then you'll be notified of your status.
What if I run into problems with the Beta product while testing
If you encounter issues with the beta product while participating in a Full (or in some cases for a Medium) beta program you'll be required to log cases using our CRM system (you will be provided with an account for this). If you are participating in an open beta program, you will have access to a forum in order to post questions or issues.
